Copyediting Multiple Anecdotes

Client’s Requirements: Abdullah wanted three of his anecdotes to be copyedited. Each anecdote was very personal to him, and he wanted the readers to be able to relate to his situation and understand more about who he was as a person. He wanted his work to be completed within nine days, which we agreed on.
How We Helped: We first made sure to understand the exact intended message in each anecdote and what picture he wanted the reader to envisage when reading the anecdotes. Once this was confirmed, we copyedited each anecdote accordingly. We made sure the sentences were short, snappy, and to the point when needed, and made sure to include certain punctuation techniques to add more effect to the anecdotes. Some sentences were edited to include words that resembled more imagery and to make the reader feel more ‘touched’ by what Abdullah was saying. While doing this, we made sure to keep his intended meaning consistent throughout each anecdote and make the English free from any errors!
End Result: Abdullah was very grateful to us for understanding his story and how to get his message and emotions across. He went to publish these anecdotes on his social media, which received great compliments. Abdullah continues to be a regular client of ours. We loved working on Abdullah’s anecdotes.
